We believe that organisations providing person-centred supported living and other support services to people with learning disabilities and mental health disorders should be flexible enough to respond quickly to their changing needs and expectations.
Our hands on approach and our structure, which minimises tiers of management, ensure local control and clear, straightforward communication, which includes listening to and involving the individuals we support and their families in decision-making, for example in selecting the staff who provide their care services.
Our person-centred culture also leads to high levels of staff retention, resulting in a continuous and reliable service, we do not use agency staff.
The individuals we support are primarily commissioned and funded by local authorities using individual budgets and we believe that when using public funds in this way, our focus should be on the direct delivery of support services, to the benefit of the individuals.
