Quality standards

Excel’s offices are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent body that regulates care provided in England by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and by voluntary organisations.

Our CQC registration requires us to meet five essential standards of quality and safety and are monitored to ensure that we continue to do so. These are:

• you can expect to be involved and told what’s happening at every stage of your care

• you can expect care, treatment and support that meets your needs

• you can expect to be safe

• you can expect to be cared for by qualified staff

• you can expect your care provider to constantly check the quality of its services.

In our latest CQC inspection reports, both our Bracknell and West Bromwich offices were both rated as two stars (good).

The star ratings scheme ended in June 2010 with a new system yet to be announced.
